I started this group last week, and I see that I haven't received much activity on it as yet.
This Group is for senior members of the fire service that are over the age of 55. Maybe I should have named the group " On Top Of The Hill Gang " and then maybe I would get some activity. I don't want anyone to take offence by me using the theme " Over The Hill Gang " I was just trying to reach out to our senior members of the fire service that are still active. I know that there are a lot of us out there. If you think I should change the name of the group to " On Top Of The Hill Gang " or something else, please let me know. My aim was to start a group for members over the age of 55 that are still active. If anyone has any better names, or ideas please let me know. Thank you, and please be kind with your comments.

Hey Reg, sounds like you have been out in the sun to long LOL.
I hate it for anyone not to remember their last call. Mine was yesterday, and
as far as my boots, I try to keep then lined up, so I know what foot goes in what
boot. I have my leather boots at the fire house, and my rubber boots at home. This
way it will be hard for me to mix them up. LOL As far as my unit number, what's that ???
Stay well, and be safe out there Brother.
PS: Please stay out of the sun LOL
Hey John, Thanks for responding to the discussion, I would have to think if I am

"Do you remember your LAST call?" ROFLMAO

It wasn't all that long ago I could remember most, if not all of the calls occurring within the previous month.

Now, I can't even make it a week without forgetting at least some of them. Everyone is trying to help me remember: "You drove the ambulance" or "you were first on scene" and they smile when the light goes on. "Oh, riiiiight..."

A couple of years ago I was doing an exercise to determine where each member was at a barn fire and what they did. One of the OLD timers could not remember that he operated the water supply pumper at that fire. Everyone else remembered.

I'm not that bad yet but I think I'm trending in that direction.
Was that the tones I heard...let's go ride bikes.
Or the pager beeping in the middle of the night. "What the hell is that noise? Oh yeah..."

Hey Ben, The only bike I ride has a engine on it
Hey Joe, It's called AAADD. We all get it as we get older, I just wish I knew what it means
O'well who really cares anyway LOL Now where did I leave my keys, Damn I'll just walk,
Wait, where am I going, O'well I'll find out when I get there LMAO
Hey Terry, Thanks for responding to the discussion. That's a great story. Fourty seven years
in the fire service, that's wonderful. Not many firefighters can say that. I wish you many, many
more. Be well, and stay safe out there Brother.
