Over A Dozen Pit Bulls Rescued From Bronx Apartment Fire

NEW YORK - Firefighters responding to a fire in a Bronx apartment found more than a dozen semi-conscious pit bulls.

Fire officials say the 15 to 20 pit bulls were safely pulled from the sixth-floor apartment on Grand Concourse at about 3 p.m. Monday. The pit bulls, including several puppies, were taken to a medical center for treatment.

A spokesman for Animal Care and Control of New York City told The New York Times the group had not yet decided what action to take since officials had not reached the dogs' owner or fully evaluate their medical conditions.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Fire officials say two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the blaze

Well wonder what their first thought was when they realized they were pitbulls that were semi-conscious.
i stepped on a pit bull during a job once. Fortunately but unfortunately it wasn't in a state to bite me!!
I am glad that they were found. I wonderful if they belonged to Vic?
If that was supposed to be funny, you missed the mark by a mile.
By the way, it's Vick.
