NATCHEZ, Miss. - Seventy years after a fire killed more than 200 people at the Rhythm Night Club, a Natchez couple has dedicated a small museum where the club once stood.
Monroe and Betty Sago tell The Natchez Democrat they want to ensure that the facts are known.
Monroe Sago says interviews with survivors inspired the project.
It is mostly a collection of newspaper articles and photographs related to the fire. Sago says he has other items not yet on display, but they had to start small.
The Sagos began commemorating the event with a memorial service in 2008.
