OAK LAWN, Ill. - A wedding shop went up in flames in suburban Chicago, leaving many brides-to-be wondering how they'll replace their burned dresses.
More than 100 firefighters were brought in to battle the fire, which swept through a strip mall in Oak Lawn that housed the Eva's Bridal store, along with a mattress retailer, a Radio Shack and other businesses.
Witnesses reported seeing the wedding dresses burning as the fire spread.
One woman, Case Aulisa, arrived to pick up her dress and found crews working to extinguish the fire. Her wedding is Friday and she says it will be hard to replace her custom-made dress before then.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire.
