TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson fire officials say 150 people were evacuated from an apartment complex Sunday after a fire broke out in a third-floor apartment in the southern Arizona city.
The Arizona Daily Star says fire officials report one person was injured.
The Tucson Fire Department spokeswoman Tricia Tracy says firefighters responded to the Council House Apartments about 12:30 p.m. after an alarm company reported sprinklers had been activated in an apartment.
She says a fire broke out on a stove, but the sprinklers contained the blaze to the kitchen.
Tracy says a resident of the apartment was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Other residents were allowed to return to their apartments Sunday afternoon.
