PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. - Firefighters say one person is dead after a house fire in Peachtree City, but two other people managed to escape the flames.


Peachtree City Fire Battalion Cmdr. Ron Mundy says firefighters had to battle intense flames when they began fighting the blaze early Tuesday.

Authorities say the two people who escaped were interviewed by firefighters and Peachtree City police.

WSB-TV reports that police are maintaining a presence outside the home until the cause of the fire can be determined.
