If you saw the swearing in of our president you may have noticed a young man playing clairinet with Yoyo Ma. He is one of 2 sons that are concert musicians whose dad worked with me at the Chicago Fire Department. Deputy Commissioner of Fire Prevention Demarre McGill (Ret). How proud we all are to see this firehouse kid and his proud parents share in our history and know that the traditions of the fire service are not far from his base of development.
