KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Falling concrete from a building collapse has killed a person in Kansas City, and crews were searching the rubble to see if anyone was trapped inside.
The collapse of the two-story, warehouse-like building in midtown was reported around 11:50 a.m. Tuesday.
Kansas City Fire Chief Smokey Dyer says the victim was hit by concrete that fell away from the structure as it collapsed.
Details about the victim weren't immediately released.
Dyer said crews planned to use electronic listening devices to check for others who might have been inside.
