CRANSTON, R.I. - Authorities say one person was taken to the hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a house fire in Cranston.



Fire officials tell WPRI-TV the fire broke out on the third floor of the home at about 12:30 a.m. on Monday. Other occupants made it out safely.

There was no word on the hurt person's condition.

The fire remains under investigation.
