WATERLOO, Iowa - Authorities say one person has died and two others have been injured in an early-morning house fire in Waterloo.

KWWL-TV reports that firefighters were called to the house about 4 a.m. on Monday. Fire officials say those injured in the blaze were taken to Allen Hospital. One person suffered minor injuries and was not admitted to the hospital. The other person was flown to a hospital in Iowa City.

No names have been released.

Officials say a neighbor saw the flames and alerted the people living in the house.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
