NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A neighbor who noticed smoke led Nashville firefighters to a house fire in which one person died.

Fire Department Capt. Ricky Taylor told WSMV-TV the victim was badly burned.

Taylor says a neighbor saw smoke coming from around an air conditioner early Thursday and called 911. An engine was dispatched to investigate and firefighters discovered the house was on fire.
