WATERBURY, Conn. - Officials say one man has died in an overnight house fire in Waterbury.


The fire in the multifamily home on Fox Street was reported just before 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was pulled from the third floor and taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

At least four other people escaped from the home safely.

There was no word on a cause.
