PHILIPPI, W.Va. - State and local authorities are investigating a mobile home fire in Barbour County that killed a child and injured five other people.
WDTV-TV reports that authorities suspect an overloaded circuit caused the fire.
The fire occurred around 2 a.m. Sunday in a mobile home park along Hacker Creek Road.
A local medical examiner pronounced one child dead at the scene. A man, a woman, and three other children who were in the mobile home were injured.
The victims' identities haven't been released.
Two of the injured children were treated at a local hospital and released. The conditions of the other victims weren't immediately available.
