OLD MOVIE, But a GOODIE !
Yesterday while being bored to no end I was flipping through the channels on the television and came across and old movie on the old movie classic channel. The movie was made in 1974 and starred, John Forsyth, Don Meridith, John Campinella and a host of others. The movie was called " Terror on the 40th. Floor " I'm glad I watched it, at the end I began thinking back and other than all the adverbs and adjectives, this movie mirrored the one " The Towering Inferno" with actor Steve McQueen in 1977 the only thing different between the two was in Terror on the 40th. floor there was alot less death and injury to firemen and civilians. Another interesting note, was the fire chief always refered to the RESCUE FIREMEN as The PARAMEDIC RESCUE TEAM during the movie. I believe the first time I ever heard the word Paramedic was when Emergency debuted two years later. When did L.A. County actually start its Firefighter/Paramedic Program? interesting. Well if I was a critic I would rate the movie as 4 stars out of 5 or 2 thumbs up and the movie makers didn't slack off either the fire scenes had greatly improved by the time they made Towering Inferno. Overall it was a great way to spend a rainy day inside.

I'd never heard of that first movie. We did have an old one shown on free to air the other night which had me laughing a lot when I first saw it some years ago - "Borat", lot's of laughs in that one!

oh back draft is great. the only inconsistency is when bull runs in with no air his turnout jacket not fastened and only an axe. another good movie is ladder 49. one of my favorites right now is fireproof. it leaves you feeling good and has a good message. are there any other movies like these i should see?
