NORMAN, Okla. - Firefighters in Norman say a woman was killed and a man critically injured in a house fire.
Deputy Fire Chief Jim Bailey told The Oklahoman that five other people who lived in the home were treated at the scene early Sunday. No names have been released.
Bailey said firefighters were called about 3 a.m. and arrived to find heavy flames coming from the home on the city's east side.
Bailey said the cause of the fire has not been determined. He said the home had a working smoke detector that warned the occupants and allowed those who escaped to get out of the home.
