NEW YORK - One man was seriously injured and 11 others including five children suffered minor injuries in a Bronx fire.

The blaze broke out at the seven-story Housing Authority building Monday afternoon along Pelham Parkway. Three firefighters were also treated to for minor injuries. The injured civilians were taken to Jacobi Hospital for treatment.
Sixty-eight firefighters in 12 fire units responded to the fire. It was reported under control shortly before 3 p.m.
Authorities said the man who was most seriously injured was hurt when he jumped out a fourth-floor window.
