I need to find out what the requirements for line officers are in the state of NJ.  That is in effect that we must follow as per the law.

can anyone please help me?
Wouldn't you:
A) inquire within your department?
B) call what ever state regulatory body governs that?
I haven't the foggiest idea (I'm in Illinois). What do the Officers at your Fire Dept. have to say? Have you talked to your Chief?

25 Lessons 90 Hours Limit: 30 Students Out of County Fee: $575

PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Fire Officer I course is to provide entry-level fire officers with the knowledge
and skills to meet the minimum job performance requirements for paid and volunteer fire
officers. Fire Officer I candidates must demonstrate the knowledge and skills and necessary to
function safely and effectively as an integral member of a firefighter team. When engaged in
hazardous activities, the Fire Officer I work under direct supervision of a senior company officer
and as a team leader.

PREREQUISITE:
Level 1 IMS Management (IMS-200)
Incident Safety Officer
Instructional Techniques for Company Officers
Fire Ground Officer Development
OR
Initial Company Tactical Operations
