(AP) PITTSFIELD, N.H.

Two people have died in a three-alarm fire at a house in Pittsfield, N.H.

Pittsfield's fire chief tells WMUR-TV he doesn't know how many people were inside the house on Main Street at the time of the fire, which started at about 5:20 a.m. Monday. Firefighters from about 10 communities responded.

It's not known how the fire started. The fire caused a power outage at the nearby Pittsfield Middle High School. Authorities closed the school.

A call to the Pittsfield Fire Department was not immediately returned Monday.
