NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Firefighters evacuated a burning apartment house Tuesday night in Niagara Falls.

The flames started in a third floor apartment, where Battalion Chief Mark Gray says a tenant resisted rescuers who removed him from the house. The tenant was arrested and charged with obstructing firefighter operations and assault. All three apartments were safely evacuated, with a minor injury to one firefighter.

The building is condemned. Faulty wiring is suspected as the cause.
