As a former fire chaplain I have been profoundly saddened and moved by the tragedies that have befallen the fire service in the first half of the year. I know these events have affected all of you as well. I have turned my feelings into action. Yesterday I began the National First Responder Prayer Team.

Our job is to stand in the gap for those of you who do so much to protect us all. Our mission is simple, To ensure that every first responder that needs prayer gets it ! In less than two days we have already amassed almost 100 members from all over the country. Many of them have years of experience in the fire service.
