HENDERSON, Nev. - A fire official says one firefighter received a minor injury battling a blaze that destroyed a million-dollar home in Henderson's Green Valley area.

Henderson Fire Battalion Chief Mike Gibson says the fire was apparently sparked about 10:30 a.m. Thursday by an electrical malfunction at the home on Quail Run Road. That's near Warm Springs and Pecos roads.

Gibson says firefighters tried to battle flames inside, but had to back out of the house after about 25 minutes and douse the fire from outside.

He estimates damage at $1.2 million, and says an investigator determined the cause of the fire was an accidental.
