PERTH AMBOY, N.J. - Firefighters are still pouring water more than 12 hours after a blaze displaced nearly 100 people from a New Jersey apartment complex.

The fire at the Harbortown Terrace complex in Perth Amboy broke out around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Broadcast reports show several people jumping from windows to safety.

No one was seriously injured.

It took firefighters about five hours to bring the blaze under control.

The cause is under investigation and officials will assess the damage Monday to determine whether residents can return.
