NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A woman has died in a fire in a high-rise apartment building in Nashville, but dozens of others were unharmed.

Fire officials said sprinklers went off Wednesday afternoon during the fire at the Belle Meade Towers in an exclusive section of the city. The woman, believed to be in her 80s, was found in her apartment hooked up to oxygen.

The fire was contained to her unit on the ninth floor. Her identity was not immediately released.

According to WSMV-TV, nearby floors were evacuated.
