N5A New Yorker Refurb Project.
Yesterday I completed my first leather refurb/repaint project on my own N5A. Everything is finished with the exception of all the reflective stickers and what not.
Has anyone else attempted, succeeded, or failed a helmet refurb??

what kind of paint did you use to repaint the helmet

I used one can of high heat 2000* engine primer and one and a half cans of rustoleum semi-gloss black 1200* grill paint. I sanded it down a lot further than shown in the pics I just forgot to take pics of it.
