OK! I had my interview! I would first just like to thank the people who replied to my questions about how you thought it might go. Your comments gave me some good insight. So here is how it went...
Left 2 hours early, first to arrive and was seated in a confrence room to await my name to be called.
Name was called and was escorted to a room that consisted of a long stretch of tables and 3 interviewers. Shook hands with 1 Chief, 1 firefighter whos rank i did not hear, and a person from HR. Each took turns asking me questions, why I want to be a firefighter, why I wanted this department, what mistakes have I made at work, how did I handle the problem, how I might be discribed by others, etc. I, in turn, gave honest answers' made frequent eye contact' and put emotion into my replies. Shook hands when I was finished and was escorted to the door where I was told I'd hear by friday...if not monday.
I am now anxious to hear back and hope that what I do hear will be GOOD!. Thanks again for the advise. I had a good feeling at the end of it all. Good luck to anyone else who might doing the same in the near future.
