NEW YORK - Police have determined that a weekend fire that claimed the lives of two men inside a Queens office building was the result of a murder-suicide.

Police say the men were found Saturday afternoon in a third-floor office of the Roosevelt Avenue Building.

They say the fire broke out shortly before 3 p.m.

Police say 42-year-old Chang-Xin Hu of Queens was found stabbed to death at the scene. The other man, 27-year-old Shao-Fan Gong, died a short time later at the hospital. Police say he had superficial slash wounds, which appeared to be self-inflicted.

The motive for the murder-suicide was not immediately known.
