TORONTO - The owners of a burning Toronto mansion are reported to have told police there are weapons and guns in the burning home.

Thick, black smoke was still pouring out of the home six hours after it caught fire at about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Firefighters have been forced to stay outside because the floors are unsafe.

Reports say two children and a nanny were in the home at the time the fire broke out, and that a contractor may have been working in the basement.

No one is believed to have been injured in the blaze.

The sprawling home is located in an upscale neighbourhood full of palatial residences, but firefighters say neighbouring homes are not believed to be in danger.

Just goes to show you that fire doesn't care HOW much money you have!

Yep, the fire doesn't care, but the media must. What makes this story any more newsworthy than any avg homeowner experiencing a loss from fire?
Probably for the same reason that reality tv shows are so popular, people's own lives suck and so they enjoy seeing either stupid or bad shit happen to someone else. When it happens to rich people they must feel really good about themselves. But that's just my opinion.
