This was the scenario for training I coordinated the other night for one of my towns. It was a heavy lifting evolution using highway traffic barriers that had a (manikin) trapped beneath. The pre-evolution briefing included that the victim was trapped within the curved void of the lower block and had a faint pulse upon palpation.

 

I would like to hear what you concerns are, what resources you would need for your area and how you would extricate the victim without further injuring him.

 

Remember, the blocks are curved, and their weight is not evenly distributed making this a complex pick. Keep in mind that this incident will have some specific safety concerns for the rescuers as well.
