Missouri Townhouse Fire Kills Toddler, Injures Others
GRANDVIEW, Mo. - A fire in a Grandview townhouse killed a 2-year-old girl and injured several other people.
The Kansas City Star said the fire was reported early Friday.
The girl's mother was hospitalized with burns to her hands and four children were taken to a hospital as a precaution. Two firefighters and three police officers were treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The name of the 2-year-old was not released, but officials said she was found in an upstairs bedroom and pronounced dead at the hospital.
