With just days to go before Independence Day, an eastern Missouri fireworks display goes up in spectacular flames, and authorities are blaming an arsonist.

The fire broke out just before 4 a.m. Tuesday at a fireworks stand north of Troy. No one was at the tent when the fire began, and no one was hurt.

Fire authorities described the scene as looking like the Fourth of July. The exploding fireworks could be seen from miles away.

Lincoln County Sheriff's Capt. Shane Duryea told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that detectives have a suspect in mind.

Flames burned huge holes in the tent and most of the merchandise was destroyed.
