DOE RUN, Mo. - Two eastern Missouri firefighters are recovering after they were hurt battling an early morning blaze in Doe Run.


The fire broke out around 3 a.m. Thursday at a house that had partially collapsed. KSDK-TV reports that the firefighters who were hurt were from neighboring Bismark.

A two-story brick chimney tumbled onto the firefighters. Both were taken to a hospital with bumps and bruises. They were treated and released.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
