Missouri Firefighter Dies from Apparent Heart Attack at Grass Fire
ODESSA, Mo. (AP) -- A suburban Kansas City firefighter dies after suffering an apparent heart attack while fighting a grass fire along H Highway.
The Kansas City Star on Sunday reported on its Web site that Odessa firefighter Lt. Roger Vorwark died at an Independence hospital after being tended to at the scene.
The 49-year-old was a five-year veteran of the Odessa Fire and Rescue Protection Division.
