MINNEAPOLIS - Residents jumped from a burning apartment building in Minneapolis and tossed young children to safety early Tuesday.

One tenant caught three children who escaped from a third floor window.

Chilo Alvaredo says he helped his sister-in-law's children after she suffered a leg injury when she jumped from the burning building.

Authorities tell WCCO radio the fire started in a hallway.
