MINNEAPOLIS - Minneapolis fire officials say clutter in a house on fire complicated the rescue of the homeowner who died later at a hospital.

Firefighters found the man unconscious on the second floor of the house Thursday about 5 p.m. Once outside, rescuers revived the victim. He was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale where he later died.

Assistant Fire Chief Cherie Penn tells the Star Tribune that rescuing the man was difficult because of hoarding conditions in the house.
