MILWAUKEE - It was a busy day of fire rescues for one Milwaukee ladder crew.
Ladder Company 8 rescued two people from a fire Monday. Later in the day, the same ladder company responded to another fire and recued two more people from a fire at a four-unit apartment building.
Battalion Chief Ralph Gallow tells the Journal Sentinel that the second fire started on the first floor of the building. Firefighters found one man in the driveway suffering from smoke inhalation. Gallow says they rescued a woman and a child - believed to be a mother and daughter - from the second-story balcony.
