EDGEWATER, Md. - Anne Arundel County fire officials say a man and a woman died in a home fire and a 70-year-old woman escaped the blaze.

The identities of the victims were not immediately released. Battalion Chief Steve Thompson says the fire was reported about 11:15 Sunday morning and brought under control about 2 p.m.

Thompson said investigators were trying to determine the cause of the fire.
