UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - Authorities are investigating a fire that caused significant damage to a Pizza Hut in Upper Marlboro.

Firefighters were called out Tuesday morning around 5 a.m. to the 7600 block of South Osborne Road and found heavy smoke coming from the building's roof and a fire in what appeared to be the kitchen area.

The fire was extinguished about an hour later. No one was injured, but the cause of the fire is under investigation.
