Our 2009 apparatus that will be delivered in the next few months will have the Chevron reflective striping on it because we were told by the manufacturer that it was to meet the new NFPA standard.

Well don't forget the "new" computer module that will monitor everything in the vehicle from seat belt usage to speed and braking habits...and the speed governor...and oh yes, and AED in every vehicle(May not have been passed yet but is coming)...And please don't misread this....I am all for safety...I just want to know how smaller departments are going to pay for it.....Paul
We are in the prevention buisness. It's true that it's mandatory to have the reflective in the back. It's for our fire personnel safety and there's nothing to argue about.
