Lifesaving Resources graduates new class of Swiftwater Rescue Technicians

Lifesaving Resources Inc. (lifesaving.com) graduated a new class
Swiftwater Rescue Technicians on April 18 after they successfully
completed a two-day intensive training program conducted at the
Lifesaving Resources' Water & Ice Rescue Training Center in
Harrisville, New Hampshire.  Fire, Rescue, EMS, and Law Enforcement
personnel from New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and
Pennsylvania participated in this course, along with Instructors from
New Hampshire and Rhode Island.

The new Technicians spent 5 hours in classroom on Saturday (April 17), and 4-hours in the water,
during which time it rained, snowed, and sleeted, and even had a spot of
sunshine.  On Sunday, the Technicians spent 8-hours practicing skills
in a moving-water environment during which time they practiced rescuing
one another from hydraulics, moving water, strainers, etc.

Lifesaving Resources is dedicated to drowning and aquatic injury
prevention and emergency management.  The company, under the direction
of Gerald Dworkin, a professional Aquatics Safety and Water Rescue
Consultant, develops Aquatics Safety, Drowning Prevention, Lifeguarding,
Water Rescue, and Ice Rescue training curriculums, and conducts this
training throughout North America for the Lifeguard and Aquatic
Recreation, as well as the Public Safety and Rescue Sectors.  The
company also conducts an annual Water Rescue Train-the-Trainer Academy,
as well as an annual Ice Rescue Train-the-Trainer Academy with the
purpose of training representatives of Police, Fire, Rescue, and
EMS agencies as Instructors who are then authorized to conduct
Awareness, Operations, and Technician level courses on behalf ot their
own departments.

The next Water Rescue Train-the-Trainer Academy will be conducted May 20 - 23, 2010 at Keene State College in
Keene, New Hampshire, while the next Ice Rescue Train-the-Trainer
Academy will be conducted February 17 - 20 at Nature's Classroom in
Hancock, New Hampshire.
