OK, so I want to see something new here on FFN. I am sure everyone has a few "pride and joy" shots that you have obtained over the years that are FD related. This is just one of my little future firefighter's in training. That is about 6 years before he is old enough to be an explorer. On this particular day, I came after working a double to find he tricked out our 18hp Simplicity Pumper :)

ok so here are my boys being the "patients" during an extrication demo our FD put on for the community. And yes my wife has a pink helmet but as a cancer survior I think she has earned it :)

My son will be 21 in May. This was his first fire parade at the age of 5 months. It is still one of my favorite pictures of him.

Anita that is just too cute! So the question needs to be asked did your son also go into fire services? Part of why I ask is that my oldest wants to be a Paramedic (hes already passed his First Responder @13) and my youngest wants to be a firefighter. It kinda brings up the whole nature/nurture debate

Actually, when he was younger being a firefighter was all he talked about. Now he is in pre-med with an eye on becoming a family doctor, and we don't hear much about firefighting. Both his dad and I are firefighters, and his dad has his paramedic cert. So if you think about it, I guess he is following in the "helping others" role, just in a different way.
