OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - A large fire broke out at a suburban Kansas City country club, apparently destroying much of the clubhouse.

Overland Park fire officials said no injuries were reported in the blaze, which was reported Monday evening at the Milburn Golf & Country Club.

Chief Bryan Dehner said the fire was driven by high winds in the area, and that while the blaze was contained by about 6 p.m., fire crews were still working to control the fire. Crews from several area fire departments responded to the fire at the club, which was closed Monday.

Dehner said the blaze appeared to have started in the back of the building, but the cause of the fire was under investigation.

Bob Fischgrund, the club's vice president, told The Kansas City Star that the club would rebuild and that the golf course appears to be undamaged
