I was having dinner with my brother, a FL FF in for a visit, and Dad(BC-ret) last week. When we left the restaurant, we came upon this.

This is a brass plaque inserted into the brick sidewalk. The joke between us was "I guess the city really doesn't want parking on the sidewalk." Any takers as to why it's there? My OCD got the best of me and I stopped by the 1st due engine's station later and got an "It's probably..." answer/. I give it later.
