Hello, my name is Russ, been a firefighter for 14 years and am interested to hear if anyone else has been through a similar surgery.  I am 38 years old and had a total shoulder replacement back in November 2010. I have been doing my stretches and my PT is going great, painful as hell....but great.  I hear rumors floating around now that I lose my job because of N.F.P.A. standards may or may not state that you can't be a firefighter with a prosthetic joint. I am confident that I will recover fully and not have any setbacks. I would appreciate any feedback.
