JACKSON, Wyo. -- Jackson Hole Fire is swearing in a 33-year veteran of the department as its new fire chief.
The Teton County Board of Commissioners announced the appointment of Willy Watsabaugh Thursday afternoon. He had been serving as interim fire chief but was going to be sworn in to his new permanent post Friday morning.
Watsabaugh served as deputy chief, training officer, captain and volunteer firefighter during his time with the fire department. He also owned Watsabaugh Construction from 1990 to 2003.
