Just thought I'd take the time to post an introduction thread as I'm new to the forum/website.  A few things about myself...I'm a paramedic with reserve firefighter experience from Arizona.  I am licensed as a paramedic in California and certified in Arizona.  I was unable to complete my fire academy due to finances (work just doesn't like you to miss shifts).  I now function in the paramedic role only but still have my sights set on finishing the academy by the spring of 2011.  I'm very passionate about my work as a paramedic and the fellowship of the firefighters and ems personnel I encounter along the way.  I feel very lucky to be able to pursue my first true passion even though I started later in life.  I have several extra curricular credentials for work and I have recently branched out my abilities to include working as a ski patroller in the Lake Tahoe area of California.  I look forward to talking with everyone on this site and hope you all stay safe in the meantime.  Hello!
