After completing cpat and a physical training test I will once again have the opportunity to take the oral interview. I have had a year now to think about the last interview and some of the questions I was asked. I am going to list a few of the questions and see what help some of you that are more experienced could give.
1. why do you want to be a firefighter
2. give 3 adj. that describe your work ethic (ex. I was told:" honorable", "dependable")
3. what is a problem you have faced and how did you handle it
4. what has one of your supervisors done to irritate you and how did you handle it (ex micro-manage)
5.what do people criticize about you the most and why
6. you see a fellow firefighter steal something, what do you do
7.what is an ex. of something you have done in your workplace to increase something for the good
I appreciate any info and have been doing a lot of research and practice myself to prepare for this.
Thanks
That list is a pretty good list; I have experienced a few of those questions in my interview for my current spot. The only other one I can think of is, how do you communicate with people of different cultures who don't speak your language, and are in need?
