BROWNSBURG, Ind. - Fire crews are on the scene of a 2-alarm apartment fire in Brownsburg.
Firefighters were called out to 1110 Windhaven Circle at the Brownsburg Crossing Apartments at around 9:10 a.m. Thursday.
Multiple fire trucks were called to the scene to help get the fire under control. Chopper 8 flew over the apartment complex and one building was badly damaged. It appears that the roof has collapsed on top of the building.
Fire officials reported one firefighter sustained a slight injury.
Several families have been displaced due to this fire and the Red Cross is enroute to assist those families.
Firefighters tell 24-Hour News 8 that the building was up to code and had proper firewalls.
