Collapse During Indiana Two-Alarm Church Fire; Firefighter Killed

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) — A fire roared through a church Wednesday, claiming the life of one firefighter after the sanctuary roof collapsed.

Delaware County Deputy Coroner Jim Clevenger confirmed the death of the firefighter to The Star Press.

WRTV-TV said other firefighters circled the spot where the body was found while a ladder truck poured water on the blaze while other firefighters and others at the scene gathered in prayer. WTHR-TV
reported a U.S. flag was draped over a white sheet in the debris.
