I’m a new member, looking for help with Paramedic school. Need money, any help on where to go?

Hey like it say’s I’m a new member so go easy on me sure this gets asked a lot. I’m also  new to firefighting, have worked in healthcare for about 5 years now. But I’m looking into Paramedic school to further my education and to be an asset to my dept. I’m looking at a program through Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, Indiana. I’m a resident of Michigan, Elkhart Hospital is known for its great paramedic program and it’s only a half hour drive. I know since it’s not at a college I cannot get FASFA I think it is, but then again never have gotten it. They think $9.00 an hour is to much money to live on. Haha. But any help on websites, places to go for help, ect? Thank you all for any help! Nic.

Ask the school what money options they have - like scholarships, tuition assistance, grants, etc.

Many departments will pay for training programs like this one because you become a bigger asset to their department - ask your department training officer.

Then google search "paying for paramedic school."

And look for other programs in your area, you may find a better or similar one that does permit FAFSA.

Research... research... research...

And welcome !!!
