International Association of Fire Chiefs
Fairfax, Va. - With the conclusion of the sixth annual
Fire/EMS Safety, Health and Survival Week and some time to review your efforts, the IAFC and the IAFF want to know—what did your department do to demonstrate that it is "Fit for Duty?"
Departments across the United States, Canada and beyond took part in Safety Week, and we are now looking for feedback on your activities—what worked and what didn't. We've prepared an
online survey for you to provide your input.
The survey takes only a few minutes of your time, but the feedback is important. It will help us plan future events that best serve you and your department on the critical issues of firefighter and EMS personnel health and safety and will help the
IAFC's Safety, Health and Survival Section in theme and content development for next year.
In addition to conducting this survey, the IAFC will feature department stories and pictures in an upcoming issue of
IAFC On Scene. If you'd like the chance to share your story about Safety Week, please send an email to OnScene@iafc.org, telling us how you spent your day or the week, what activities you did, the response from your department members and community and overall how participating in Safety Week was beneficial to you and your department. Remember to attach any pictures (JPG or TIF files) to your email that you think best illustrate the events in which your department participated.
Thank you for taking part in this united effort to keep our first responders healthy and safe and for sharing your experience with the rest of the fire and emergency service.
